Singapore, 21 February 2023. ChainwireCartesi, an application-specific rollup execution platform with a Linux runtime, has launched its Community Grants Program. This program is for Web3 enthusiasts and developers who are looking for support in getting their ideas off to the ground. It is a community-driven program that funds a wide network of contributors. Its goal is to build and expand Cartesi’s ecosystem. The Community Grants Program is an important step in allowing more community participation in grant selection.

Developers can submit their ideas. The Cartesi Foundation will periodically issue Requests for Proposals for projects it believes are particularly relevant and important to the ecosystem.
The Cartesi Community Grants Program’s launch also marks the beginning of a new governance function for Cartesi’s token, CTSI. CTSI will be used by the Cartesi Foundation’s decentralized ecosystem to allow community members to approve or deny grants.
The Community Grants Program allows the Cartesi community to influence the Cartesi tech projects that are being built and funded. It allows the community to connect more easily with the builders of the Cartesi ecosystem and potentially collaborate with any of these projects.
